Meanwhile, his good friend Dan Block has claimed to The Sun that he had a “ huge lump ” on his neck, but delayed the hospital.

“Dustin has cancer – we don’t know what type or how advanced – we’ll find out tomorrow,” Dan told The Sun. At this point, we don’t know how bad it is or where it has spread.

“It started as a tumor on his neck – a huge lump in his throat – and it was very visible. “He was afraid someone would take pictures of it and put them online.”

Representatives for Diamond, who played “ Screech ” on the hit show, had said on Tuesday that they thought the problem could be related to cancer, but went no further the next day.

“We have a better answer after all the tests are done,” Diamond’s team told Yahoo Entertainment. ‘But they do a lot of tests on him. We just hope for a speedy recovery. ‘

Diamond was hospitalized in Florida last weekend, a representative for the actor confirmed to DailyMail.com.

Diamond went to treatment after complaining that his entire body was in pain and his medical team fears he has cancer, insiders added to TMZ.

The actor lost his mother to breast cancer and it is said that a biopsy will be done to find out what his medical condition is.

Diamond originated the role of Samuel ‘Screech’ Powers on Good Morning, Miss Bliss, the 1988 Disney Channel sitcom that was saved by the bell.

He continued to play Screech during the first run of Saved By The Bell on NBC from 1989 to 1993 and kept the character engaged in multiple revivals.

The California-born actor was part of the 1992 TV movie Saved By The Bell: Hawaiian Style and its 1993 sequel Saved By The Bell: The College Years.

Then came the spin-off Saved By The Bell: The New Class, which ran from 1994 to 2000 and featured Dustin in the cast.

However, last year’s Peacock reboot of the franchise didn’t include Dustin, although other longtime castmates like Mario Lopez did make a comeback on the show.

Over the past two decades, Diamond has had his share of controversies, including his 2006 sex tape Screeched: Saved By The Smell which he himself directed.

During a Where are they now? specifically on OWN seven years later, he said he put his face on a stuntman’s body for the tape.

“You know, I sure got some money from it, but it wasn’t worth the consequences. I mean people to this day, they look down on me, ‘he said.

He also said his 2009 memoir Behind The Bell was a “ disappointment of mine ” due to the descriptions of alleged drugs and sex during the making of the show.

Diamond said the book was written by ghostwriters, claiming, “I’ve talked to a guy a few times, so there is some truth in the book, and a lot of the stories were just sort of throwaway items.”

He said, ‘You know,’ Oh, well, kids were smoking weed and, you know, having sex behind the scenes. That stemmed from another just-discarded statement of, “ So was someone taking drugs or sleeping together on set? ” Well, what do you think? There was a bunch of kids with hormones from, you know, 15, 16 years old. ”

Diamond claimed, ‘That turned into, you know, factual nonsense about everyone, which was real, I have nothing but good thoughts and memories for everyone. I expected to get a copy for proofreading and okay, or thumbs up or thumbs down, and I got the copy, “Oh, this is done.” ‘

He then spent three months in prison in 2015 for his role in a bar fight in Wisconsin, in which one of the participants was allegedly stabbed.

He was acquitted of felony, recklessly endangering public safety, but convicted of two felonies, disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon.

He apparently stayed friends with his co-star Mario Lopez, who hosted him on Extra in 2016 where he discussed his time in prison.

Diamond’s friend Dan Block told The Sun last year that the actor was unaware of the Saved By The Bell revival on Peacock until the news went public.

“I know he wants to be a part of it,” Block said, insisting that his friend “is a good guy and deserves a second chance.”
