L.uis Enrique has opened the door of the Spanish national team Barcelona star Pedri, who impressed at Camp Nou this season.
The Canary Islander has been one of the most ardent Catalans this season and the Spain coach is in awe of what he has seen.
“We haven’t called him yet, but he’s a regular with the youth,” said Luis Enrique, before making it clear that the European Championship was more important than the duties of Spain under 21.
“I have more to say than the underage teams. Many of us love Pedri, that’s clear. But there is still a long way to go until March.
“The first team has priority, and that has always been made clear to me.”
