GREEN BAY, Delete. – Aaron Rodgers returns to “Jeopardy!” This time, however, the Green Bay Packers quarterback will be the host rather than a competitor.
He revealed on Tuesday that he has been asked to guest host an episode of his favorite game show – an episode on which he appeared on the 2015 celebrity edition of the show.
Rodgers, who is preparing for Saturday’s NFC division playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams, first mentioned it during his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. He later apologized for bringing the news out.
A representative of ‘Jeopardy!’ Declined to comment, saying no announcement has been made regarding future guest hosts.
“I may have jumped the gun a bit, so I apologize to ‘Jeopardy!’ if they wanted to announce it, “Rodgers said.” I was just so excited from the show before. It just went on for the past few days, we found out. It’s very exciting. It’s for the low season. We’ll be even more excited when that opportunity gets a little closer. , but man, the show has been so special to me over the years.
“It’s been an important part of my home here in Green Bay for the past 16 years – 6 hours watching Alex [Trebek] and try to get as many questions as possible. “
Trebek, the show’s longtime host, died of cancer on November 8 at the age of 80.

Rodgers compared meeting Trebek to the first time he met soccer announcers like Keith Jackson and Dan Fouts, who aired one of his college games with Cal, and Pat Summerall and John Madden when he arrived at the NFL.
“We all have so much love and affection, I guess, for what [Trebek] meant for that half hour, which is 22 minutes of our lives on a daily basis for those of us who were big fans of the show, ”said Rodgers. So it’s really special for me to be a guest host, and I can’t wait for the opportunity. “
