The smart cannabis vaping device allows users to adjust the doses through the app

Smart cannabis vape device promises the ‘perfect high’ by allowing users to adjust the doses via an app and letting them know by vibration when to stop inhaling

  • Mode presented its flagship at the Consumer Electronics Show
  • It is a smart cannabis dosing system to help regulate cannabis intake
  • The vapor has sensors to know how many doses are being inhaled
  • There is also a companion app that allows users to view consumption analytics

Marijuana has become a go-to treatment for anxiety, pain management, and sleep, but a new innovation takes the guesswork out of dosing for new users.

Called Mode, the world’s first smart vaporizer for dosing cannabis, took the stage at the Consumer Electronics Show, along with an accompanying app.

The vape device has a touch slider that allows users to adjust their dose down to the milligram and is equipped with precision sensors to determine how much is inhaled.

It also features a Haptic Guidance feature that gently vibrates to let users know when to stop inhaling and when to exhale.

The companion app has a control dashboard where users can access dosage schedules, product information, feedback, personalized recommendations and consumption analysis.

Medical marijuana is legal in 34 US states and is used to treat a variety of aliments and diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, cancer and Chrohn’s disease.

It has also become a treatment for those suffering from anxiety and sleep disorders.

However, it can be difficult for a new smoker to determine how much to inhale.

Izzy Kirsh, co-founder and co-CEO, Mode, said, “We initially wanted to solve the dosing dilemma for people who need cannabis to treat injuries, ailments and other health-related issues.”

‘We’ve built dozens of prototypes to deliver vapor doses per milligram, perfecting consumption levels to a rudimentary science of what cannabinoids and dosages are needed to achieve the right results.

“What we ultimately created is a first-of-its-kind device that provides greater control and a better experience for all cannabis users.”

The company debuted its flagship at the first-ever all-digital Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

The popular technology conference is usually held in Las Vegas, Nevada, but the coronavirus forced it out of the conference venue and into people’s homes.

Fashion is inspired by Kirsh, who realized the need for personalized dosing of cannabis after a personal injury.

Working with Mark (Akiva) Wagner and Stephen Bates to design the platform, the trio embarked on extensive R&D exploration, collaborating with a world-class design and engineering team and raising $ 2.5 million in funding to bring Fashion to the market.

Owners can also lock the vaporizer device to protect it from children.

Mark (Akiva) Wagner, Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Mode, said, “Cannabis is a dose-sensitive substance and not a one-size-fits-all solution.”

“Fashion provides a missing device and dataset for the cannabis space, and with proper analysis and implementation, can open pathways of understanding never seen before in cannabis.”
