The church’s restaurant chain is announcing that it will begin launching its new Pechu Criollo sandwich in 2021.
As of today, the new sandwich can be found in the chain’s more than 110 restaurants in Puerto Rico. The Pechu Criollo is prepared with the new Creole water bread, which is made on the island by the Mi Pan company.
The sandwich is a real breast fillet, marinated and breaded in every restaurant just before serving to the customer, and it also includes romaine lettuce, fresh tomatoes, melted American cheese, and mayonnaise.
“It has been 30 years since the first chicken sandwich was introduced on our menu. That sandwich quickly became a favorite and is still on our menu today as one of our top items. Other sandwiches have been added to the original chicken sandwich over the years that are also a chain favorite. Today a new phase in the evolution of the church’s sandwiches begins with the arrival of the new Pechu Criollo. The taste of a good criollo bread is what makes it accepted by our guests, along with the other components of the sandwich, ” he said. Guelmari Sosa, Marketing Director of the chain.
Sosa said this new sandwich was developed in Puerto Rico, like most of the products served locally in the chain. Only fresh produce is used to prepare it, and to ensure their quality and freshness, they are cooked to order, he added.
In support of the launch, Pechu Criollo is being offered for a limited time along with one of 14 add-ons and a Pepsi for $ 5.99.
The restaurants operate under the executive order that is in effect seven days a week from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm with a dining hall and car service.
