The rollout of the coronavirus vaccine continues throughout South Florida

COUNTY MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – The rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine continues across South Florida as more injections were administered Saturday.

Across Miami-Dade County, access to the vaccine for over-65s is increasing, but so is demand.

Baptist Health South Florida booked thousands of appointments shortly after launching its online appointment portal and is now holding back on scheduling more.

There will be a limited number at Hard Rock Stadium for the next week, but many who showed up without an appointment were turned away.

In Broward County more lines and more waiting.

Seniors in Lauderhill told Local 10 News to navigate crashing websites and exercise patience to get their appointments.

As in Miami-Dade, Broward has several drive-up locations open to the public, but supplies are limited.
