In front of Roberto Alomar, the performance of the RA12 team in the Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League it cannot be calibrated in terms of wins and losses.
In the view of the Baseball Hall of Fame member, the project has achieved its goals and is optimistic about its continuation into the next professional baseball season.
“I am proud of all young people. I did not do this project to try to win, but to give young boys in Puerto Rico the opportunity who had not taken part in the winter competitionAlomar said.

We don’t win many games, but I have a happy smile because we were able to help them develop as players.
“
RA12 closed the regular phase with a balance of 2-16. Then they were beaten 4-0 in the semi-final by the Criollos de Caguas.
“We saw progress from day one to the last. They were happy and proud of the opportunity they got. We don’t win many games, but I have a happy smile because we were able to help them develop as players, ”said Alomar.
“I use the boys’ sincerity when I appreciated the opportunity and that’s worth more than a win. Perhaps many of those belonging to other organizations in Puerto Rico will open their eyes so that they can play next year, ”he added.
Alomar assured RA12 plans to return to the Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League next season.
“We will continue to compete. We need to improve the hitting, as the defense was good and the pitching was excellent. We remain committed to giving young people the opportunity to develop. This is a first chapter. I will continue to learn how to help the competition move forward. I owe a lot to the Puerto Rican league, because I will never forget that the Caguas Criollos gave me the chance to play every day at the age of 17, ”concluded Alomar.
