Project Winter, a brutal eight-person survival / betrayal game set in the brutal snowy wilderness, has been confirmed as a Switch release “soon”. Other Ocean Interactive, also responsible for the 3DS Minecraft and the Wii U port of Costume Quest 2, released the game on PC in February 2019 and also just announced that the game is coming to Xbox Game Pass in late January.
Like any survival game, Project Winter offers one a lot of of gruesome ways to die: beaten to death by a bear, crushed to death by an angry moose, poisoned by berries, eaten by wolves, and killed by a teammate … who was a saboteur all along. With proximity-based voice chat, you want to make sure you don’t stray on your own, because your friends can’t hear you screaming for help when the traitors find you.

The developers have a roadmap for the game on their website, which lists “Port to Nintendo Switch” as something they want to complete in the future, so it’s unclear exactly how far along they are in the transfer process. The website simply lists the game as “Coming Soon”.
We will get an update when we know the date. In the meantime, why not check out similar cold survival games, The Long Dark and The red lantern to practice your snow skills?
