TEGUCIGALPA, HONDURAS.-A new migrant caravan would then leave Honduras January 15th (as it transcends in social networks) and Guatemala makes a plan to prevent fellow countrymen from going to America in search of the American dream.

“Caravan January 15, 2021. We have left the terminal (bus) of San Pedro Sula,” says the call, which has already gone viral on Facebook and is not attributed to anyone in particular.

This would be the first caravan of 2021, on the eve of the inauguration of Joe Biden, the new American president.

Requirements to enter Guatemala:

-Covid-19 negative antigen or PCR test.
– Current passport or identification document
Minors must present a passport and be accompanied by their parents.

Before March 2020, Honduran migrants said they fled in caravans from criminal violence and lack of jobs.

Now, as they claim in the post of the call on social networks, the reason is the poverty that resulted from the covid-19 pandemic and the devastation after the storms Eta and Iota.
