Warzone’s next patch will be DMR nerf

It won’t be long before the DMR’s reign of terror comes to an end in Call Of Duty: Warzone. Raven Software announced on Twitter that the next weapon balance update is “ coming soon, ” with the overwhelmed rifle being hit by the nerf hammer, along with three other weapons that have been dishing out a little too much pain lately: the Type 63 rifle , Mac -10 SMG and double Diamatti pistols.

With all of the Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapons being folded in Warzone in December, it didn’t take players long to realize that DMR’s tactical rifle was head and shoulders above the rest. I’ve tried it myself, and my word, it’s something. You’d think a semi-automatic weapon would be at a disadvantage, but no, pull the trigger fast enough and you’ll take someone out terrifyingly fast. And with little recoil and high accuracy to boot, it’s no wonder players are flocking to the thing.

The Type 63 is basically the slimmer counterpart to the DMR; not that good, but still very strong. Then there’s the Mac-10, a rectangle that shreds – it’s just shreds close to. Not to mention the double Diamatti pistols. They are burst-fire pistols where you have to point vaguely in the direction of your opponent, quickly click your mouse, and bam, that’s a tango down.

It’s worth noting that these balance changes are exclusive to Warzone, so these weapons aren’t used for the Cold War multiplayer modes. A strong decision in my books as they seem fine to me in regular multiplayer and it seems a bit too much to fuel their stats across the board.

More than 30 weapons had been jammed in Warzone since the Cold War, so balance issues were almost inevitable as the Cold War weapon stats differ from Warzone and Modern Warfare offerings. Honestly, I’m surprised more guns haven’t been released as completely broken, who knows what’s going to dominate the next meta.
