(Reuters) – Facebook Inc has removed the ‘like’ button from redesigned public pages used by artists, public figures and brands, the social media company said Wednesday.

Facebook pages only show followers and have a special news feed where users can participate in conversations, interact with peers, and connect with fans, the company said in a blog post. (bit.ly/3b8MExI)

“We’re removing likes and targeting followers to simplify the way people connect to their favorite pages,” Facebook said of the new design.
