Juan Hernandez Ramirez, ex branch president of AquilaMichoacán, was shot by a commando at his home, located in the community of Maruata.
Police sources indicated that a son of the former mayor also died in the attack; while two people were injured, who have not been identified.
After the attack, the bodies have been transferred to the Forensic Medical Service, while the injured are treated in a hospital in the coastal region of Michoacán.
Meanwhile, Michoacán’s prosecution began an investigation to determine responsibilities for the attack on Aquila’s former branch president.
The state government complained about the murder of the former mayor and confirmed that the crime will not go unpunished.
