Vegas teen dies after ‘alcohol-related’ incident in Summerlin

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – Authorities say a teenager died on New Year’s Day after being made aware of an “alcohol-related” incident at a Summerlin home.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reports that it was called by the fire department in connection with an unresponsive teenager at a home in the Ridges community at 8:35 a.m.

The teenager was transported from the home to a local hospital, but eventually died.

LVMPD says it is awaiting an autopsy before deciding to investigate the situation.

On Sunday, the Alexander Dawson School in Rainbow Mountain shared a message on its website about the loss of one of the eighth grade students on New Year’s Day.
