The administrative director of the Borussia Dprtmund, Hans Joachim Watzke recommends the Norwegian attacker Erling Haaland to follow Robert Lewandowski’s example and take the time to grow in the German club before making the jump to another team.
“Erling, like his agent Mino Raiola, knows what he has in Dortmund. I can only recommend that he do the same as Robert Lewandowski,” that he took the time to become a world-class player “Watzke told “Kicker” magazine.
“That’s something that won’t be achieved in a year,” he added.
Lewandowski released Dortmund, after four seasons in which he won the Bundesliga twice, to sign for Bayern.
Watzke does not believe that Haaland will ask for the letter of freedom next summer, despite being sought after by many European clubs.

Haaland has a contract with Dortmund until 2024.
Watzke has repeatedly denied rumors that there is a verbal agreement that would allow Haaland to leave in 2021 if an appropriate offer comes.
The media has ensured that a termination clause of 75 million euros, which would come into effect in 2022, has never been confirmed by the club.
