Beloved actress Tanya Roberts is alive, her rep revealed just hours after he and her husband announced she had passed away.
The representative, Mike Pingel, issued a press release on Sunday saying that Roberts – who is best known for performing alongside Roger Moore in the 1985 Bond film A View To Kill – had passed away Saturday at the age of 65.
Pingel said Roberts was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve after she collapsed in her Hollywood Hills home.
The representative said he learned the tragic news of Roberts’ death from her husband Lance O’Brien, who claimed to have visited her in the hospital before she died.
As I held her in her last moments, she opened her eyes. I got to see her beautiful eyes one last time. Tanya had the most beautiful eyes, ”O’Brien told TMZ.
But in a bizarre turn of events on Monday, Pingel told the tabloid that the hospital called O’Brien just after 10 a.m. and told him his wife was still alive.
Pingel gave little explanation for the confusion, saying only that Lance “really believed Tanya had died.”
The representative also said that Roberts’ condition is “terrible,” and told People, “Things don’t look good at the moment. Hold her in your prayers. ‘
DailyMail.com has contacted Pingel and Cedars-Sinai for clarification.

TMZ said it heard from several sources close to the family who claimed that O’Brien had called them with the news of Roberts’ death on Sunday.
The outlet had originally reported that Roberts collapsed after she returned home from walking her dog on December 24.
She was rushed to a hospital and placed on a ventilator, but “ never got better, ” Pingel said, adding that her “ death ” was unrelated to COVID-19.

Pingel (left with Roberts) did not explain what caused the confusion about her health condition
Before she collapsed, insiders said Roberts appeared “ perfectly healthy ” and took part in video chats with her fans.
In his original statement to TMZ, O’Brien said he should not have visited his wife in hospital due to coronavirus protocols, but staff made an exception when her condition worsened on Saturday.
O’Brien’s statement suggested he was with Roberts when she died, but apparently that was not the case.
It’s unclear when O’Brien and Roberts will tie the knot, but reports showed the couple was living together in her Hollywood Hills home.
Public records show that it was the same house Robert shared with her first husband, screenwriter Barry Roberts, who died in 2006. Tanya and Barry were married for 32 years and had no children.
