PHILADELPHIA – Even with a skeleton squad around him, Philadelphia Eagles rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts still finds a way to become a playmaker.
Hurts rushed for a few touchdowns on back-to-back possessions in the second quarter of Sunday’s regular season finale against the Washington Football Team.
With that, Hurts became the first Eagles quarterback to have two hasty TDs in a game since 2010, when Michael Vick completed the feat against the same Washington team on Monday Night Football. Coincidentally, Hurts wore a Vick jersey to the game on Sunday evening.

The first touchdown for Hurts came on a 6-yard scramble down the right side with 10:24 am left in the first half. Just over six minutes later, he took off for the center when the pocket collapsed and found the end zone again.

Hurts now has three hasty TDs to go this season with six passing touchdowns.
The Eagles played only three of their original offensive starters on Sunday. Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and quarterback Carson Wentz were both healthy scratches, and running Miles Sanders, wide receiver DeSean Jackson and tight end Dallas Goedert were among those who were sidelined due to injury.
