A new Duty rumor has been circulating to claim that Call of Duty 2021 brings PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC players to World War III and is sort of a sequel to Advanced warfare. According to a prominent Call from Duty insider, this rumor is untrue. Meanwhile, another does not outright deny the rumor, but notes that they themselves have not heard it.
Responding to this rumor on Twitter, Duty insider and leaker Tom Henderson – who has proven to be reliable with several firsts regarding Modern warfare, War zone, Black Ops Cold War, and more – claims this rumor is untrue. More specifically, when the rumor came to Henderson’s attention and when asked if it was true, he said outright no.
Meanwhile equally prominent Duty The source, ModernWarzone, agreed on the rumor, noting that they have not heard anything confirming the rumor, which at the moment appears to be at least partial, if not completely, nonsense.

Rumors are circulating that WW3 is next #Duty title developed by SHGames.
Just join the discussion to say we haven’t heard about this, but that doesn’t mean it’s false.
Let all of you know as soon as we have an idea of what’s going on with SHG.

There is speculation that 2021 will be a new release from Sledgehammer Games, and there may be something about this speculation, especially based on a recent tweet from the developer, but it sounds like even if it’s Sledgehammer’s turn, it won’t take players to World War 3.
Turn off. Switch on.
Let’s try this again. Happy New Year!

At the time of publication, Activision and co. have not commented on this rumor and the speculation it has caused, and is unlikely to change. However, if this happens somehow we will update the story accordingly. Meanwhile, for more coverage on all things Duty, click here or view the relevant links below:
