Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper put a social distancing twist on their aired after-party this New Year.

The dynamic duo were back in the saddle this year, hosting the New Year’s Eve live show for CNN from Times Square.

And after the job was done, they had a virtual gabfest with none other than music hunk John Mayer, 43, Andy revealed on his Instagram page.

So … after the show, we went to town for snacks and a Kiki with @johnmayer. (AC refused another drop of tequila; not me,) ‘Andy wrote.

“We knew it was going to be a weird night, but I loved being with you virtually, and I always have the best time with Anderson,” he said.

Alongside a photo of the virtual chat, Andy wrote: ‘Much gratitude this morning and I hope we can go back to 2021. (And yes, I’m a bit hungover.)’

Anderson and Andy were in Times Square for the CNN show as usual, but unlike previous years, there were no crowds below due to the coronavirus blockages.

Andy has been good friends with John for a long time and even travels to Brazil to be with the singer for his 40th birthday which took place while on tour there.

Although he and Andy have made fun of romantic rumors, John is straight and has dated stars like Jessica Simpson, Katy Perry and Jennifer Aniston.

“Have you ever been with a girl that made you want to quit for the rest of your life?” he told Playboy about Jessica, whom he has also called “sexual napalm.”

Kathy landed in a huge controversy in 2017 after starring in a photo shoot in which she jokingly held up a fake severed Donald Trump head.

During the furor, Anderson called her joke “ disgusting, ” and CNN fired her, after which Andy slipped in and has been there ever since.
