A brother and sister died together this week in a car accident on a Florida highway after a man fleeing from police rammed their car, authorities said.
Domynick Milis, 21, and Danycka Milis, 18, of Omro, Wisconsin, were on their way home from watching the Christmas lights at the Daytona International Speedway when they crashed around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, the Daytona Beach News-Journal reported.
Domynick was behind the wheel of a Nissan Rouge when a carjacking suspect made an illegal U-turn on Interstate 95 near Daytona Beach and crashed into their car, killing the siblings instantly, the point of sale reported.
Their brother Drake, 13, and 17-year-old cousin Kyley Larsen were also in the car; both were hospitalized with serious injuries.
The incident started when police picked up a stolen Altima near Matanzas Woods Parkway and started chasing the vehicle.
The 47-year-old suspect, a man from Orlando who was driving with a revoked driver’s license, was also murdered, according to the newspaper.
