The bride-to-be takes a dive of 200 meters after the man asks a question

The engagement of these lovebirds got off to a rocky start.

A man’s romantic proposal atop an Austrian mountain ended in a disastrous moment on Sunday after his new fiancé said “Yes” – when she slipped and plunged off a cliff 200 meters high, according to The Sun.

The 32-year-old woman miraculously survived when the snow broke her fall from the mountain at Carinthia’s Falkert resort, the outlet reported.

Her 27-year-old partner tried to grab her, but fell herself in a circle, floating 15 meters through the air before grabbing a ledge and holding on for life, the Sun reported, citing Bild.

A passerby rescued the unconscious woman while her fiancé, who suffered a vertebral fracture, was rescued by a helicopter.

Their injuries were not considered life-threatening.

“The two were extremely lucky. If there had not been snow, it would have been very different, ”said a police officer on the spot.
