4 found dead at SWAT scene in East Harris County, Sheriff says

HOUSTON Four people, including a shooting suspect, have died in a SWAT scene in eastern Harris County, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said Wednesday.

Deputies said they were sent to the 14300 block of Lourdes Drive after receiving a call from a woman around 3:15 am saying she had been shot.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they began to approach the property and an unknown suspect shot them, investigators said.

According to HCSO, the suspect has barricaded himself in the home. Delegates on the ground were heard through a megaphone saying, “Louis, get out of the house. We are here to help you, not to hurt you. “

During the investigation, delegates found out that there were other people in the house. Gonzalez said when they entered the house after hearing a gunshot, they found two women and two men dead. Deputies believe one of the men was the suspect.

According to investigators, the murder-suicide stems from domestic violence. Gonzalez said the suspect, a 49-year-old man, was dating one of the women. The man has younger children, but they were not in the home during the incident, deputies said.

Deputies said the two other victims may be the adult children of the woman in a relationship with the suspect.
