Carrie Fisher is someone who means a lot to me. She’s my hero and it has been for as long as I can remember. Her writing has helped inspire me, she is a truthful, brilliant woman who is undaunted in her honesty, and her losses still hurt. On the anniversary of her death, many share photos and memories of Carrie, but one especially stood out.
This was a story from the time when Carrie and Oscar Isaac were on set together Star Wars. The two seemed to get along beautifully (which makes sense because their energies just merge in my head), and the story illustrates what the world is missing in the loss of Carrie Fisher.

I can imagine Carrie dancing and having fun, the new “kids” on set showing what it’s like to be a Star Wars movie because she always tried to include everyone. I was lucky enough to meet Carrie three times in a very short span of time just before she died, something I will always cherish. I had to talk to my hero and see firsthand how wonderfully personable and hospitable she was. This story from Carrie and Oscar Isaac makes me miss her so much more.

I miss Carrie Fisher more than I can say. But hearing these stories and learning more about her from those who worked with her brings me joy, and I hope it will bring you something today.
