Kirby

This year marked the 40th anniversary of HAL Laboratory – the Japanese developer behind the long-running Kirby series.

It was released in 2020 Kirby Fighters 2 on the Switch and transferred the title Part-time UFO also to the hybrid system. So what’s in store for 2021?

In an interview with 4Gamer recently, three company directors teased new games, merchandise and even events. Here is the translation of Siliconera (thanks, Oni_Dino):

Tadashi Kawai:

“We at HAL Laboratory will continue to deliver games in 2021 with three core values: surprise, fun and warmth. Thank you very much.”

Teruhiko Suzuki:

“In 2021, I want to release a different kind of weird game from HAL Egg! And please play Part-time UFO! It’s a fun game that you will absolutely love! Let me know what you think! “

Yumi everything:

“We will continue to work hard on our goal in 2021. That is, enjoy it for as many people as possible Kirby [games]. Not only do we have plans for games, but also merchandise, books and a variety of events, such as with the Kirby Cafe. We hope you will continue to support both Kirby and HAL Laboratory in 2021! “
