Julio Cesar Rojas López, known in the musical field as Tito Rojas, will be on display at the Marcelo Trujillo Coliseum in Humacao this Tuesday from 1:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Rojas died on December 26, at the age of 65, at the home of a few cousins in that municipality.
It has been reported that several artists of tropical music will accompany the coffin during the funeral.
In addition, the city will have the opportunity to honor the singer along with his family and loved ones during the funeral ceremonies.
Then, on Wednesdays, to the sound of the Gallo Salsero music, the funeral procession departs from the Toñito Flores funeral home in Humacao from 10:00 am to the Pax Christi cemetery in the Mariana neighborhood. The funeral is private.
“After my work team met with the daughters to refine what their wake would be, bearing in mind that we are in the time of Covid-19, that we will keep the distance and protocol established for the pandemic , the family agreed to attend the events at the Marcelo Trujillo Panisse Coliseum tomorrow, December 29, 2020, starting at 1:00 PM. The body will be exposed to the public from then on until 6:00 pm, ”said Humacao Mayor Luis Raúl Sánchez Hernández, who announced 5 days of mourning.
All audiences will have to wear the mask and maintain the required distance at all times. They will be able to pay tribute and condolences to the family from a distance. “The family is going through a difficult time and we want to be the support for them during this time. Tito has mentioned the name Humacao and Puerto Rico, the least we can do is offer that last goodbye as it deserves,” added Sánchez Hernández.
