UNITED STATES. – The US pharmacy chain CVS will begin applying vaccines against Covid-19 in nursing homes for the elderly and the sick this Monday, and will offer it to the general public in 2021.
In this regard, CFS was contracted by the United States Department of Health to administer the Covid-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech in 12 states in the United States.
As planned, CFS will administer the coronavirus vaccine in 40,000 nursing homes over the next 12 weeks and then offer it to the public by appointment at its more than 10,000 facilities in the United States, with a capacity of 20-25 million applications per month.
Likewise, supermarket chain Walmart had announced that it will also sell and apply the coronavirus vaccine in its pharmacies, purchasing freezers and dry ice to stock the drug in its warehouses.
Meanwhile, other countries, such as Hungary and France, have started to administer their first doses, and the rest of the countries of the European Union will do so between Sunday and next Monday.
