This sandwich took a real hit.
One man who ate early morning at a Hamilton Heights deli was apparently unhappy with the results. Police say he started fighting for the sandwich with a deli, identified by police as Ali Zubaidi.
The 5 o’clock beef continued outside the store at 3660 Broadway.
Zubaidi, 26, is accused of punching the unidentified customer, 29, in the face and knocking him to the ground, police said. The victim cut his hands and neck, police said.
Zubaidi of the Bronx, was charged with assault.
A man who answered the phone at the N&H Deli Saturday afternoon said that Zubaidi had worked there for less than a month and that the hurt customer may have been drunk.
