Michelle Branch reveals she miscarried and praises her friends and family for helping her through the rough time
Michelle Branch revealed that she had a miscarriage on Christmas Day.
The 37-year-old singer took to Instagram with a series of photos of her loved ones as she lamented the challenging year.
In addition to her miscarriage, Michelle noted the Christmas Day bombing in downtown Nashville that injured three people and affected more than 40 businesses in the area after a motor home exploded.

‘And to further twist a dagger in my heart, I experienced my first miscarriage (ugh! Motherf *** eh!)’
Michelle has a two-year-old son, Rhys James Carney, with husband Patrick Carney from The Black Keys.

She also shares responsibilities for co-parenting her 15-year-old daughter, Owen, with ex-husband Teddy Landau.
Michelle wore a green crown as she posed for photos with some of her loved ones on a one-of-a-kind holiday as many of their families were separated due to the COVID-19 pandemic and several stay-at-home orders.
“But alas, between crying and binge-eating Christmas cookies, I decided to put on lipstick and a dress,” she added.

‘We drank champagne all day. Made an incredible meal and sang Christmas carols cuddly by a crackling fire. Only 5 more days until 2021. I hop to the finish.
