Target PS5 replenishment report reveals when the next drop occurs

A new PS5 restock report claims that PlayStation players still looking for the next-gen console may be able to get one more before 2021, courtesy of Target. There have been no PS5 additions on the border for the past few days. From Amazon, to Walmart, to Best Buy, to GameStop, no one has owned a PS5 this week. However, it looks like Target is about to push another round of inventory just before 2020 ends, or at least that’s what a new report claims.

According to the report, coming the way from Spiel Times, Target stores across the country have started receiving 10-15 units of the console, while other stores expect new stock to arrive on Sunday, Dec. 27.

At the moment, there is no word on exactly when this restocking will be rolled out, and it is unclear if it will be nationwide. However, if some stores don’t get their stock until the end of the weekend, it probably means that the replenishment won’t happen until next week, probably Monday or Tuesday.

While stores are apparently getting PS5 supply this weekend, you still can’t buy anything from the store. Your only way to safeguard this stock is through online purchase. If you manage to secure a console this way, you can pick it up at the store or have it delivered to your home.

As Spiel Times points out, Target restocking usually happens between 3am and 7am EST, and as with any other online retailer, any replenishment usually comes with website issues and attracts lots of bots to compete against .

As for the report itself, take it with a grain of salt. While it cites multiple sources, Target itself hasn’t announced anything yet. And of course, even if the stock comes in this weekend, it doesn’t mean it will be sold before the end of the year.
