Amanda Kloots posted a photo of the last Christmas she spent on Thursday with her late husband Nick Cordero.
Cordero tragically passed away earlier this year at the age of 41 following complications from COVID-19, an ordeal his wife regularly documented with Instagram followers.
Despite enduring such a painful year, 38-year-old Kloots struck a positive note when she looked back at 2020 with several photos from happier times.

“Merry Christmas everyone,” Amanda began in the long caption with a heart emoji. “I know this Christmas looks different for many of us. In many ways it was a year of loss. I’ve found that it has helped me a lot to focus on what I have.
“I start the day with a positive thought and go to sleep counting my blessings. It’s not always easy, but it always helps. Gratitude arouses optimism. I would also say don’t want to leave any time. Time is precious, even when it is difficult. ‘

Amanda has regularly kept memories of her late husband on her Instagram account since his death in July.

On Wednesday, she shared a video of the ring she made from her husband’s ashes.
The 38-year-old posted a video of a gold ring with a large square clear stone set in the center with a sapphire.
She wrote: ‘Something very special arrived yesterday. @stephaniegottlieb made this ring for me with some ash from Nicks. She placed a sapphire in the center, his birthstone. This ring, engraved with NC, goes to Elvis one day. I am constantly amazed at the ways you can process ashes to keep your person close to you.
“I love that Nick is with me in many places; the ocean, a beautiful vase, an urn and now on my hand. Nick went to Stephanie for all my jewelry, he knew I loved her designs! My wedding and engagement ring are hers, so this ring is very special to me. ‘
Kloots married Cordero in 2017 and last year they welcomed their only son Elvis Eduardo, one.

She recently thought about spending her first Christmas without her husband and the father of her child, who died in July at the age of 41.
The Talk host posted a photo on Instagram of Cordero holding his baby boy and wrote, ‘One of my favorite photos of Nick and Elvis.
‘This was last Christmas. My family flew to South Carolina and had an all-Hallmark-style Christmas at the @montagepalmettobluff. I will never forget it. Hug your loved ones closest boys. ‘

Cordero was diagnosed with coronavirus in March and spent the last three months of his life in a hospital.
Doctors amputated his leg because of a blood clot caused by complications with the virus in April, and gave him a tracheostomy tube in May, after he developed ‘holes in his lungs’.
Cordero died on July 5, 2020. At the time, Kloots wrote on Instagram: “God now has an angel in heaven again. My dear husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth. ‘
