Officers of Guatemala’s National Civil Police (PNC) found 17-year-old professional football player Sharon Melissa Santa Cruz Huertas alive at dawn Thursday, who disappeared in the country’s capital last Saturday, several sources reported.
The PNC said Santa Cruz was located in the municipality of Río Dulce, in the Caribbean department of Izabal, 160 miles northeast of Guatemala City.
