Unova Region Celebration Event celebrates Pokémon first found in the Unova Region. From 05/01/2021 to 01/10/2021, Pokémon from the Unova region will appear in greater numbers. For more information on other January events, check out our January Events in Pokémon GO (2020) article.
The Unova Celebration event is part of a series of events that celebrate different regions of the Pokémon world. The series ends with the Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto event in February 2021. The previous event in the series was Kalos Celebration Event.

Unova Celebration Raids
The following Pokémon will be available in Raids during the event:
One-star raids – Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Timburr, Dwebble and Klink will appear in one star attacks.
Three Star Raids – Herdier, Tranquill, Excadrill and Amoonguss will appear in three star raids.
Five Star Attacks – Genesect with a Burn Drive will appear in 5-star attacks. This is the first time this form of Genesect has appeared in Pokémon GO, so make sure to catch it while you have the chance! Note that the glossy form of this Genesect will not be available during this event.
Mega Raids – Mega Charizard Y, Mega Blastoise and Mega Abomasnow will appear in Mega Raids, and Mega Charizard Y will be even more powerful from Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 10:00 AM to Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM. local time.

Enjoy event-exclusive field research tasks that reward Stardust and lead to encounters with Pokémon such as Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, and Ferroseed.
