Los Montaners: “We have never been more vulnerable than in the song” Amen “

Ricardo Montaner, his children Mau, Ricky and Eva Luna and his son-in-law Camilo, published their first song together on Wednesday, “Amen,” a song in which, according to an interview with Efe, they show a side that “we never uncovered.” .

The song, composed by the five, is a prayer in which members of this family of musicians share their deepest fears, their deepest despair and their most sincere pain, they said.

“We have never been more vulnerable,” said Mau Montaner, the youngest son of Ricardo Montaner, who approved the comment, as well as the brothers and brother-in-law.

The song, a kind of musical prayer supported by violins and in which the mantras of the theme are alternated (“Amen” and “Take care of me”), shows the traces of all those who cooperated.

Sometimes it sounds like Montaner’s great ballads, sometimes like Mau and Ricky’s regimen pop, but also Camilo’s urban bohemian, and it also reflects the sweetness of Eva Luna’s melodies. The matriarch, Marlene Montaner, was the director of the video.

Montaner’s dad explained that the idea of doing the song came to him in late 2019.

“People were always asking us when we would do something together and I wanted it to be a song that could last over time, that it wasn’t one of those songs that would go into fashion for a month and then be forgotten. “he explained.

The goal was to make “a hymn” that was not tied to a particular moment. Therefore, although it had been ready for months, they decided to wait.

“We didn’t want it to be linked to the pandemic alone, but since this is going on for longer and we know the suffering that many people are going through, we think it is necessary now,” said Ricky.

Among all the participants in the song, there are nearly 100 million who follow them on social networks.

Camilo stands out, the Latin artist with the most followers on TikTok, and who has nearly 54 million followers on that social network, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

His wife, who stars in the Nickelodeon series “Club 57”, and his brothers, with hits such as “Papás”, “Desconocidos”, “La Grosera” and “La Boca”, have approximately 20 million followers.

“People also tell us that our lives are rosy. With this theme we also want you to realize that we too have our difficult moments. In ‘Amen’ we describe them and express our relationship with God, ”said Camilo.

The Montaners spend their Christmas in a cabin in upstate New York, surrounded by snow and away from the tropical bustle of Miami, because, they explained, they “had to recharge the batteries.”

Montaner and Camilo have already completed their next albums and will commit to promoting them in 2021, while Eva Luna says she wants to make films and is already preparing her new music. Mau and Ricky focus on getting back on stage ‘safely’ and are not ruling out the arrival of a baby next year.
