Plane that crashed in Pedernales had no flight plan; DNCD is still investigating

The plane that crashed with drugs in Pedernales last Monday had no flight plan to the Dominican Republic, according to Civil Aviation Board (JAC) chairman José Marte Piantini.

The plane crashed and caught fire near the coasts of the municipality of Oviedo, in the above province and politics died.

Marte Piantini said the matter is being investigated by the Department of Defense and the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD).

“That was not registered, that was a plane that was illegally making that flight to the Dominican Republic,” he said.

He stated that it is necessary to wait for the DNCD and state security forces to determine through the investigation what happened to that plane.

Regarding the fact, the judges of the Permanent Instruction Court of Pedernales questioned two Dominicans and a Brazilian who were arrested after the plane they were traveling in crashed and in which they found cocaine.

The chairman of the JAC presented his statements at Las Américas International Airport, José Francisco Peña Gómez, where, along with other industry officials, he operated a module of the organization where passengers can obtain information and their complaints can submit flights.

According to the details of the case, two people were on the plane, one of them was arrested by the Dominican authorities, while the other passenger died after the accident.

Those arrested were Víctor Vinicio Desirva, Carlos Ernesto Cuevas Pérez, known as Kuki Malote; and Erizón Terrero Medina.
