Dominican player Anderson Hernández will play his last professional baseball game next Tuesday, a last Licey-Águilas to highlight his career of more than 15 years in the Professional Baseball League of the Dominican Republic (Lidom).
Hernández He wore the colors of “Glorious” during his entire career in winter ball, with the exception of one season in which he played with the Eastern Stars of San Pedro de Macorís in 2019.
The retirement of the infielder was announced in mid-September, via a statement from the blue team stating that the veteran would play a match on the Licey calendar.
Hernández has won four Dominican winter titles with the Licey franchise, in addition to four other local runners-up.
It is also remembered as half of “Los Menores” a popular doubles duo with shortstop Erick Aybar.
He played more than 450 games with the colors of “El Glorioso”, more than 450 hits and 200 points scored.
In late August last year, he announced his retirement from professional baseball after his 20-year career between the Major Leagues, Minor Leagues, Lidom and the Japanese Central League.
