Reservist Narciso Crook had a historic performance last night, hitting three homeruns and driving eight runs in the game in which the Licey Tigres defeated Águilas Cibaeñas 8-3 at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium.
The sophomore player hit his first homer in the second inning with two on board at the expense of Miguel Ángel Rondón.
The second homer was shot to replace Luis Castillo with one to go.
Not satisfied with this, the Nagua native hit his third home run of the game and produced three touchdowns in the eighth at the expense of closer Wendolyn Bautista.
According to data from sports historian Tony Grullón, this is the ninth time that a player has scored three hits from four corners in the Dominican fall-winter tournament, but only the second in the Quisqueya Stadium.
The first to reach the milestone was reinforcement Greg Brock, from Licey and also against the Eagles.
That happened on November 13, 1981.
