The outstanding Brazilian actress and businesswoman Nicette Bruno died on December 20 as a result of the corona virus, as confirmed to the media by her granddaughter Vanessa Goulart.

Nicette, 87, has been hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Casa de Saúde São José, in Rio de Janeiro, since November 29. The hospital had already reported that his health was critical and further deteriorating.

In the early hours of Sunday, Nicette’s daughter, Beth Goulart, posted a photo of them both on Instagram, accompanied by a message that seemed to show hope for her mother’s recovery:

“My mother, my life, my love. Prayer for Nicette and for all patients with Covid-19 to strengthen family members and health teams who work tirelessly. Thank you all,” wrote Beth, who is also an actress.

In the same social network, the popular actress Regina Duarte said:

What a sad day, Nicete! I thought you would recover and I lost you. Brazil lost, we all lost. God wanted you with him. To comfort me there is Nicette’s spirituality, the memory of the moments we spent together, on the stage, in the dressing rooms and also in the intimacy, private life, with Paulo, with all the dear family, in LOVE, ” he wrote.

My feelings for everyone, children, grandchildren, friends. Nicette’s way of being has always impressed me and infected me with the passion she had for her mission, not just as an actress, but as a wife, mother, grandmother, to be social. She was always open to the joy and acceptance of what came and went, she was an enlightened, superior, exemplary human being. She made me grow to evolve, with her infectious generosity and her love of life. Rest in peace, friend, ”he concluded.

Nicette Bruno reached Cuban screens through her portrayal of Nina Mestieri, in the telenovela The Next Victim, where she shared a cast with José Wilker, Susana Vieira, Tony Ramos and Lima Duarte.
