Pitkin County Enters Orange Plus Plus Restrictions; restaurants may still offer personalized dining at 25% | News

The Pitkin County Board of Health at a special meeting on Monday did not bring the county to the full red level on the state’s COVID dial, but it has implemented many of the accompanying restrictions of the “serious-risk” layer.

“These red-level restrictions, with capacity for restaurants to still operate, are what we need anything we can do outside of a total shutdown, ”said Torre, Mayor of Aspen. “If each of us does our part, we can succeed in slowing disease transmission in our community.”

Restaurants may continue to operate indoors at 25% capacity, but must stop serving alcohol by 9:30 PM and close at 10:00 PM. In addition, restaurants can only group members of one household.

The new restrictions, which take effect Tuesday, also limit gyms and offices to 10% operating capacity. The province will also ban indoor events that have not yet been submitted and have approved an indoor event safety plan.
