Miami, United States
A Florida dog organization has successfully completed surgery to save twenty dogs from the raza golden retriever who were reportedly at risk of being slaughtered in China to commercialize their meat and bring it to the US to give them a better life.
The dogs died on Sunday Miami International Airport After a long journey and six months of paperwork and preparations, they are already living “their new life” with the families who adopted them, Denise Libby, a member of Golden Rescue South Florida, said Monday.
“These dogs have had traumatic experiences, so some don’t even know how to deal with a dog. It takes a lot of patience, a lot of training and a lot of determination,” the coordinator of the surgery, Kristine Minerva, told CBS. .

The operation was set up after Golden Rescue South Florida was approached by a dog shelter in China whose managers asked them for help to rescue the dogs.
They organized a fundraising campaign – bringing each dog costing a minimum of $ 2,600, Minerva said – and sought out 20 families who would meet the conditions to successfully care for the rescued golden retrievers.
Golden Rescue South Florida has previously organized dog rescues in the United States, Puerto Rico and Turkey.
Minerva, coordinator of the operation, told the media that the flight was delayed 40 hours due to an outage culminating in a long process in which they received help from the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Taiwan, People for a ethical treatment of animals (PETA) and other organizations.
