The Dominican, Juan Luis Guerra, announced on his social networks this Sunday the premiere of his new album, “Private”, on December 25, which will be released on national television and the artist’s digital platforms.
The singer-songwriter will perform for the occasion, along with his band 4-40, “three symbolic songs and two from his new production,” said the author of “Bubbles of love” via his Instagram account.
Guerra will be presented on television on Christmas Day at 9 p.m. local time (Friday 1 a.m. GMT).
“This is something we’ve always wanted to do, play new versions and songs with guitar in hand in an intimate setting and surrounded by friends. I hope you enjoy it,” said the singer-songwriter in a promotional video.
The television program will feature “single personalities” who will have the sole responsibility of presenting a “memorable audiovisual show that will showcase the magic and poetry” of the new songs in this new production by Juan Luis Guerra.
Guerra’s previous album was “Literal” (2019) with hits like “Kitipún”, “Corazón enamorado”, “I love you more” and “Lamp pa’mis pies”.
The multi-award-winning artist starred in two videos last November promoting tourism in his country.
The audiovisuals, in Spanish and English, are part of the Caribbean nation’s strategy to gradually restore the main sector of its economy, which collapsed this year as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Actions like the ones being carried out today by Juan Luis invite us to dream of a brighter future, which will only be possible if we build it all together,” said Dominican President Luis Abinader, after winning the award-winning singer-songwriter Distinguished as Honorary Ambassador of the Dominican Republic Landmark.
