Josi Maria, a German Instagram model who spoke about dealing with anorexia and who shared photos of her extremely slim body, died at the age of 24. According to DE24 News, Maria’s mother said the girl had just flown to Gran Canaria on vacation but died of heart failure shortly after the flight.
His parents posted the news on Instagram and said the death took place earlier this month. According to her mother, Mary died in her friend’s arms, fell asleep and never woke up.
The friend wrote in response to Maria’s last post: “The day before I held your sweet Josi in my arms, we went shopping and you were looking forward to Christmas and your holidays. The next night you fell asleep peacefully in the arms of your friend in Gran Canaria. Your little heart just stopped beating. “
DE24 News reported that Maria had circulatory problems on the flight to Gran Canaria and said she was in poor health as a result of her battle with anorexia. Maria had been candid about her struggle with the eating disorder and spoke about it often in the later years of her life.

Maria, who was originally from Kiel in Northern Germany, had posted regularly in recent years about her struggles with anorexia and had warned others about the condition.
On November 11, she posted about an interview she had and wrote, “I don’t want to be one of 10 who die of anorexia.” She added, “I hope many people will finally learn with the video and realize that anorexia is not a matter of weight, but of the head! That it is not always just about the desire to be slim, but there is much more to it ”.
The young woman said she had struggled with the eating disorder since childhood, but it had become particularly severe in the past two years. She wrote, “This is not the way to go. I’m not going to continue like this. Finding my way back to my positivity. The will is there ”.
On August 5, she said she would stop writing posts about anorexia to focus on her health. She said, ‘I have to distract myself to be healthy. I really have to think about my health now. Last chance. And when this last attempt to go it alone fails, I’ll go to a clinic. This is what I set as an ultimatum ”.

The Instagram model had approximately 130,000 followers at the time of her death, and many posted about her death in the comments of her latest posts.
His parents also commented. ‘I miss you so much my angel. You are such a valuable person. You gave us a lot of positive energy and made us laugh… I love you very much and I will always carry you in my heart ”, said the model’s mother.
