Kareena Kapoor Khan talked about the divorce of her parents Randhir Kapoor and Babita Kapoor and what it was like to be raised by a single mother. She said that she and her sister Karisma Kapoor understood their parents’ relationship from an early age.
In a new interview, Kareena shared how Randhir has always been ‘quiet’ for them. She also said that when he and Babita have to “get together, they are always together.”
In a conversation with Mojo Story, Kareena said, “My mom is my best friend, but I love my dad because I respect and love him a lot. He’s not very in-your-face because he’s someone who’s always chosen to be in the back. He is not one to claim attention and want it. He is always there for us in silence and I know it. “
“My parents have a great relationship because sometimes two people realize that their life isn’t quite as they planned, so it’s better that they don’t stay together, but that they can still be friends and sometimes make decisions about the children. There is no need for them to stay under the same roof or be together 24 * 7 I think both Karisma and I understood from a very early age that this kind of relationship can also exist It has been around with my parents for almost 35 years I see that in times when they need to get together, they are always together, but they prefer to have their daily lives separated, which is great, ”she added.

Randhir and Babita were married on November 6, 1971 after the release of Kal Aaj Aur Kal, which marked his Bollywood debut. She was cast opposite him in the movie. The following year they played together in Jeet.
In 1988 Randhir left their home to live with his parents. Speaking to Hindustan Times about their divorce, he had said, “She found out I was a terrible man who drank a lot and came home late, which she didn’t like. And I didn’t want to live the way she wanted, and she couldn’t accept me the way I am, even though it was a love marriage. So it’s okay. We had two lovely children to take care of. She brought them up in the best way and they excel in their careers. What more could I have asked for as a father? “
