Fortnite’s new LTM is actually among us

Epic Games has added a new limited-time mode to Fortnite

and it is actually Among Us. This LTM is called The Spy Within and features 10 players who work together to determine who the two spies are in the match. Sounds familiar? These two spies must try to take out other players without revealing their identities and they must do this before the other eight players, the agents, determine who is a spy.That’s not where the Among Us agreements – itself a variation on the board game Werewolf – end. As you can probably guess at this point, the agents are tasked with completing different objectives on the map to earn gold coins to win. None of the players can talk to each other during the game unless a meeting is called, after which voice chat can be used to discuss who is or is not a spy. During a meeting, players can vote someone out and that person is eliminated.

This LTM was created by several community creators, including DolphinDom, KKSlider, Bunni_, Wert, Blanky, jstKamui, MackJack, Ritual, and Snownymous. According to Epic, a new Spy Within game will appear every few days in the LTM playlist showcasing the work of these creators. To encourage players to participate in the LTM, Epic has created a Spy Within Challenge Pack that includes a skatedeck variant, glider and more. Complete the challenges to earn the rewards below.

Epic Games says players should use Houseparty’s video chat services to discuss who they think is a spy. The Spy Within is already available in Fortnite, but there’s no word on how long it will last. If you’d like to try the game that clearly inspired The Spy Within, Among Us was released on Nintendo Switch today.
