An 11-year-old girl who lives in the city of St. Louis, Missouri, United States, made a terrible discovery last Thursday when she arrived at her home.
As reported by Fox 45, local authorities assured the minor found her mother and father dead in the room where they slept. Their deaths are believed to be related to complications from COVID-19.
The couple were in their early 40s and both had tested positive for the virus days earlier.
According to a neighbor of the family, Chuck Duy, the woman had to be taken to hospital for what they believed was a heart attack, but she was fired.
Meanwhile, her husband also served home quarantine with a positive COVID diagnosis.
The 11-year-old girl was the couple’s only daughter, and the neighbor confirmed that it was she who discovered her parents dead.
San Luis police said there is no reason to believe the couple were the target of an attack that caused their deaths.
